Matt Palmer is a 24 year old English racing driver competing in the 2016 ginetta gt5 challenge.
Matt started racing at the age of eight years old. Like many professional racing drivers, he started his career in karting and progressed into club level car racing at the age of 19. After winning consecutive titles in the Toyota MR2 Championship, at the age of 23 he made the step up to national racing in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge.
Racing on a limited budget has been a factor in Matt's racing but he has managed to be highly successful as a privateer. His grandad, Jack, has been involved in Matt's career from the beginning and continues to carry out the majority of the repairs and set up.
Now into his second year in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, Matt is looking for podiums and race wins.
